Hackett is a pharmacy technician at the Walmart Supercenter in Leesville. On Dec. 10, while on her work break, she went to the restroom. To continue its mission of supporting local authors and literature, the library will host the second annual Local Authors Signature Party this April. Last year, the library decided to host an event for local authors from Vernon Parish and surrounding parishes to sell their books and meet with readers face-to-face.
