Lititz Record Express
Before the Record-Express, there were a few short-term monthly publications, but Lititz's first true weekly newspaper launched on September 14, 1877. This newspaper, named the Lititz Record, was founded and managed by John F. Buch. Just four years later, a new publication called The Weekly Express was introduced. This newspaper originally started as a monthly called The Sunbeam and was led by John Zook, a well-known prohibitionist and bicycle salesman. In 1905, he also published one of Lititz's beloved history books, entitled "Historical and Pictorial Lititz."
