It hasn't been that long ago since Chase Ochs was making big plays on the football field. A 2019 graduate of Cocalico, the 6-foot-2, 235-pound lineman was instrumental in helping the Eagles reach the District Three finals in his senior year. Now Ochs is back, and he is once again making his impact felt - this time as a mentor. Cocalico's defensive line coach is working with the guys in the trenches, pushing them to their potential and helping them get better.

The former local high school standout still has a dream to play big league baseball. The fire has burned within ever since Lucky was a youngster. “Every day, you’re trying to make the little kid happy,” said Lucky, a 2018 Cocalico grad. Last Tuesday, that kid was thrilled.

Lausch named new Warwick girls coach By Bruce Morgan Erica Lausch has seen her share of Warwick girls basketball games over the years. For the most part, she has been on the opposite side of the court from the Warriors. Growing up, the 2004 Ephrata High School grad scrapped in rivalry games with the redand-black. Then for the last two years, as an assistant coach at Conestoga Valley, Lausch helped to design game plans to try to slow down Warwick. “It was always a tough game,” she said.

‘He’s inspired me’ By Bruce Morgan Ky Watson’s love affair with baseball traces back to the Sacramento River Cats. It was the Oakland Athletics’ Triple-A affiliate which was playing on the diamond in front of 5-year-old Ky when he got a home run ball. Not just any ball, mind you. It just happened to be a Rawlings off the bat of his father, Matt, an outfielder for the River Cats.
