    Entry has opened for the main Finn events in 2026. For three weeks in February 2026 the Finn world will descend on the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, in Brisbane, Australia, for three back-to-back major regattas. Beginning on 7 February, the Australian Nationals will be followed by the Finn Gold Cup, and then finally the Finn World Masters, which concludes on 27 February. Some sailors plan to enjoy it to the full, while others are taking their pick of regattas.

    Sublime sailing weather on Day 2 of the Sail Port Stephens 2025 Performance Series was followed by a ridiculous amount of rain and wind today, with no further racing allowed. It meant that overnight results for the NSW Yachting Championship, TP52 Pallas Gold Cup Act 3, Super RC Series and Rob Hampshire Trophy (ORC) all stood.

    Day 1 of the 2025 Sail Port Stephens Performance Series yesterday had a bit of everything – highly competitive racing on- and offshore, tropical islands, fluctuating tides, fluctuating fortunes and a hint of controversy. The inaugural Super RC Division start off Nelson Bay breakwall created an impressive sight for spectators who’d earlier attended Anzac Day services. The nine-yacht fleet made slow progress through the Port Stephens headlands as the seabreeze mustered strength.

    Valerian Lebrun, from France, has won the 2025 Open Finn European Championship in Naples, Italy, after two final races on Saturday, in a drama packed day that nearly cost him his first major Finn title. Italy’s Federico Colaninno pushed him all the way and took second just 5 points behind, while also winning the U29 championship. Third place finally went to Estonia’s Deniss Karpak, in his first regatta back in the class after four years away. Lebrun also retains the European Masters title.

    For the fourth day in a row, Valerian Lebrun, from France, is the top of the leaderboard at the 2025 Open Finn Europeans in Naples. For the second day in a row, Italy’s Federico Colaninno was dominant on the water, going one better than Thursday and winning both races. However, Lebrun now holds a 16 point lead from Colaninno, with Estonia’s Deniss Karpak one point further back in third. Two races remain on Saturday.
