Despite the weather ups and downs to start the spring sports season, the Londonderry High School girls’ and boys’ tennis teams season got underway on Wednesday, April 9, with matches against the Spaulding High School Red Raiders. The Lancer boys’ were on the road and the girls had their season home opener under the leadership of new head coach, Nikki Gauthier.

The Londonderry High School Track and Field teams had some very good results in their first meet of the spring season. The Lancers faced the Spaulding Red Raiders and the Bishop Guertin Cardinals, with the girls winning with 85.5-points over the Raiders with 55.5 and BG getting 34. The Londonderry Boys’ team was able to take first place, getting 100-points over Spaulding with 38 and the Cardinals with 37. BoysIn the 100-Meter Run, Griffin Massahos was first with his time of 11.19.

Londonderry’s Ovation Theatre Company performed Monty Python’s Spamalot with two shows over the weekend at the Derry Opera House. The show included just over two dozen cast members from all over the Southern New Hampshire area. The musical is based on the hit movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Meg Gore was the director, Eric Berthiaume was the Music Director and Choreography was done by Brittany Cardoza.

After having to reschedule the South School Inclusion Walk a week earlier, due to rain, organizer decided to hold the walk inside due to snow on Saturday, April 12. The event was a fundraiser aimed at buying sensory items for the playground. Overall, the walk was deemed as a success with the school hoping to hold the event annually.
