Louisiana Radio Network (LRN) is a radio network located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It creates content related to news, sports, business, and agriculture, which is shared via satellite with 62 affiliate stations across Louisiana and some areas of Mississippi. LRN supports the yearly Louisiana Agriculture Hall of Distinction and also publishes Tiger Rag Magazine, dedicated to covering sports at Louisiana State University.

A bill to largely ban speed cameras across the state – well, most of it, at least – is on Gov. Landry’s desk. Sen. Stewart Cathey (R-Monroe) says he’s happy that he got Senate Bill 99 across the finish line. “As my dear friend in the House Representative Chuck Owen said, this is taxation by citation,” says Cathey. “And so this practice will be outlawed here in the state of Louisiana.”There have been efforts in the past to ban speed cameras in the state.

Republicans on the Senate Finance Committee met with President Trump this week to find common ground on his Big, Beautiful Bill. Among them was Bill Cassidy, who says the two-hour meeting was very productive. Like other senators, Cassidy says the bill as passed by the House will not pass in the Senate without some changes. “There’s just some things that the House throws in there that by the Senate rules we can’t vote on,” says Sen. Cassidy. “That irritates the House, but that’s just the rules.

A sweeping bill calling for a series of nutrition reforms is on the governor’s desk. Senate Bill 14, authored by Sen. Patrick McMath (R-Covington), unanimously passed both houses of legislature. Major components include banning certain artificial colors and additives in meals served in schools, and forcing food companies to put QR codes on packaging if their products contain certain artificial ingredients. McMath says they’re part of the nationwide Make America Healthy Again movement.

The Tigers received special performances from Casan Evans, Ethan Frey, Luis Hernandez, and Anthony Eyanson earned the save as the Tigers are headed to their 17th Super Regional appearance. Casan Evans delivers a legendary performance: Zac Cowan made his first start of the season, but was pulled in the second inning. He allowed five runs and LSU was down 5-1.
