The Japan international was unable to attend the ceremony in central London as preparations for our WSL encounter with Leicester continue, but sent a virtual message of thanks to those in attendance. McAidoo confirmed his brace just after the hour mark before Reigan Heskey completed the scoring to top off a fantastic outing for our young charges.

We will face the Midlands side at 15:00 (UK) on Monday 5 May at Villa Park. Oliver Reiss’ side know that victory will ensure a successful defence of the most prestigious trophy in academy football and a fifth FA Youth Cup triumph in our history. City have been imperious in this competition so far this season, scoring 19 goals in five matches and conceding just twice.
