(Image: SG Haywood) Killerton at Broadclyst near Exeter is home to the National Trust’s biggest fashion collection, with more than 20,000 items of historic clothing and accessories. The core collection was begun by Paulise de Bush before it was first shown at Killerton in 1978. An exhibition is held every year at Killerton, highlighting various aspects and different themes.

6 1/1 The Seaton community has joined forces to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day. On May 8, 2025, Seaton celebrated the historic day with a public event organised by the Royal British Legion Seaton, Seaton Town Council, Seaton WI, and Seaton Museum. It marked 80 years since the end of the Second World War in Europe on May 8, 1945. A VE Day flag-raising ceremony at 9am in Windsor Gardens started the proceedings.

The debate, sponsored by NFU Mutual, will take place on Friday, May 16. The discussion will focus on whether there is any incentive for young people to enter the farming industry. This comes after recent changes to inheritance tax (IHT) and the government's decision to stop applications for the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI).
