Is this chinuch? This tiptoeing around parents in the name of misplaced rachamim? Dear Administrator,It’s been a rough year. I called it from Day One, when I asked for support for my student, whom I saw was having difficulty. And that was before I found out about her difficult summer experience and her hard year in nursery. I have been teaching for a very long time. I’m a successful morah; parents request me when placing their children in preschool.

Can perfectionism be healthy? There seems to be an emphasis on “perfectionism” in the frum world. I’m wondering if this is based on the Torah idea of self-improvement or is a reflection of the industrialization of the self-help movement and the Western world’s emphasis on looking and being perfect under the guise of becoming “your best self.” When people talk about “perfecting one’s middos,” is this a healthy, realistic concept or does it promote perfectionism and even obsessiveness?

Rav Aharon Kotler quotes the Gemara (Chagigah 15a) that the tzaddik receives both his portion and the portion of the rasha in Gan Eden. The purpose of Creation, and the reason the world continues to exist, is due to the observance of Torah and mitzvos.

Can AI write your kid’s report card? Yes. Should it? Buckle upBack when I was in elementary school, getting report cards was a whole big deal. The way it worked in our school was that on “report card day,” which was always on a Thursday, the principal made rounds from classroom to classroom to personally hand out report cards. We would fidget in our seats all morning, eyes peeled to the door, in either apprehension or anticipation of the big moment, depending whom you asked.
