Modern Railways

Modern Railways is a monthly magazine from the UK that focuses on the rail transport sector. Originally published by Ian Allan until March 2012, it has been under the management of Key Publishing since then. This magazine has been in circulation since 1962. It caters to both railway professionals and dedicated enthusiasts, a mission rooted in its beginnings as a merger of the enthusiast publication Trains Illustrated and the industry-focused journal The Locomotive, led by its first editor, Geoffrey Freeman Allen.
