The New Arab, also known as Al-Araby Al-Jadeed (Arabic: العربي الجديد‎), is a media organization that serves the Arab community and is based in London. It began its journey as an online news platform in March 2014, created by the Qatari firm Fadaat Media. Later, in September 2014, it expanded by introducing a daily newspaper. In January 2015, Fadaat Media launched the Al Araby TV Network to provide an alternative perspective to Al Jazeera, which some critics believe favors the Muslim Brotherhood.
