A lovely sunny day ( so far, fingers crossed), to celebrate an event which took too long to be acknowledged, (which probably sounds great coming from an Aussie whose country still barely recognises its own indigenous people’s heritage, 200 years on). I hope everyone will enjoy the day and those who don’t know what Matariki is about make the effort to learn.
