Nieman Reports

Nieman Reports

Established in 1947, Nieman Reports is both a website and a quarterly print magazine dedicated to exploring important ideas in journalism. Its goal aligns with that of the Foundation: "to enhance and uplift the quality of journalism." Within Nieman Reports, you'll find the Nieman Watchdog Project, which documents how journalists can keep those in power accountable. This project was started by Murrey Marder, a veteran reporter from the Washington Post and a Nieman Fellow from the class of 1950.
