Other high seeds include Sunset League champion Huntington Beach (No. 3 in Division 1), Ocean View (No. 4 in Division 5), Garden Grove (No. 4 in Division 7) and La Quinta (No. 4 in Division 8). Servite, Foothill and Mater Dei received at-large berths in Division 2. San Juan Hills qualified as an at-large tgeam from Division 3.

After eight great years at Santiago High School, Matt Moorhouse has resigned as head boys basketball coach to join new Crean Lutheran Coach Austin Loeb, Loeb confirmed this week. Moorhouse led the Cavaliers to their first CIF boys basketball title in March. Santiago defeated Ramona 64-49 at the Toyota Arena in Ontario in the CIF 4AA championship game.

Century High School’s baseball team, the league champion from the Coast League, met Portola Wednesday in the final regular season game for both teams at Portola. Century won the non-league matchup 7-0 and now looks ahead to the CIF playoffs. It was the final game of the season for Portola (9-17), which did not advance to the playoffs competing in the Pacific Coast League.
