Before a crowd of 12,458 at Devon Park, senior first baseman Cydney Sanders homered twice and redshirt junior catcher Isabela Emerling added a solo shot to help the Sooners to their 52nd victory on the year. OU now faces No. 12 Texas Tech (52-12) at 6 p.m. Monday on ESPN.

    OKLAHOMA CITY – No. 2 Oklahoma (51-8) responded with two runs in the second inning to erase an early deficit, but No. 6 Texas (53-11) scored one in the fifth and another in the sixth as the Sooners came up short, 4-2, in a winners bracket meeting Saturday, May 31. The Sooners now face No. 16 Oregon (54-9) in an elimination game Sunday, June 1 at 6 p.m. on ESPN2. The winner of that game will face Saturday night's UCLA-Texas Tech winner at 6 p.m. Monday, June 2.

    NORMAN – Senior righthander Sam Landry scattered four hits and struck out five in a complete-game shutout as No. 2 Oklahoma (49-7) posted a 3-0 victory over No. 15 Alabama (40-22) late Friday afternoon in the opening game of the NCAA Norman Super Regional before a crowd of 4,444 at Love's Field. The Sooners need one more victory to advance to their ninth straight Women's College World Series and their 18th overall. OU has now won 17 straight Super Regional games.

    NORMAN – No. 2 Oklahoma (48-7) softball belted four home runs and posted another run-rule win with a 12-1 victory over California (37-21) Sunday, May 18, at Love's Field. A crowd of 4,075 watched the Sooners put the finishing touches on the Norman Regional, during which they outscored their three opponents 31-3. OU now will host a Super Regional against the Alabama-Virginia Tech winner in a best-of-three series. The start date of the Norman Super Regional is to be determined.
