No matter the place on the depth chart or the recruiting ranking a player had attached to him before his arrival at Notre Dame — there are probably some things I really like about him. So over the course of the next few months, let’s take a positive approach to running down the roster.

Notre Dame and Eastern Michigan finally found a break in the weather this season to play a baseball game. When it was all said and done, the Irish tallied their 30th win of the season in a 12-10 victory over the Eagles. From the ND press release:Irish Clip Eagles to Reach 30-Win MarkSOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Notre Dame baseball team held off Eastern Michigan for a 12-10 victory as the Irish secured their 30th win of the 2025 campaign on Tuesday evening.

Notre Dame football home games are on NBC and have been for 34 years. While there have been numerous complaints from the fanbase over the years, what you won’t hear, are complaints that there are too many noon games. FOX and its Big Noon Kickoff strategy has programs like the Ohio State Buckeyes up in arms over the amount of good quality games that they are forced to play at noon as opposed to those sweet prime time matchups. That’s not happening with Notre Dame and NBC.

Photo by Ethan Miller/Getty Images One of the all-time great linebackers in Notre Dame history is Fort Wayne native, Jaylon Smith. The Bishop Luers graduate played for the Irish from 2013-2015, and won the Butkus Award as a junior (he also won the Butkus in high school). Smith suffered a massive knee injury in the Fiesta Bowl against the Ohio State Buckeyes and went from a top five lock in the NFL Draft to being selected by the Dallas Cowboys with the 34th pick overall in the second round.
