In a recent study, WalletHub has ranked Orlando as one of the least affordable cities for renters in the United States. On Wednesday, April 16, WalletHub revealed its list of the American cities with the most affordable rent. The Federal Reserve’s Consumer Price Index shows that over the past decade, the cost of rent has risen by more than 50% while wages haven’t increased at the same rate.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is looking for individuals with French Canadian or Irish Canadian ancestry who could help solve a 43-year-old cold case. According to VCSO, deputies are collaborating with FHD Forensics to help identify a man who was found deceased in Ormond Beach on March 12, 1982. His skeletal remains were discovered in a wooded area by two boys who were camping.

A woman sustained life-threatening injuries on Thursday afternoon after her car collided with a dump truck in Volusia County. According to the DeLand Police Department, officers responded to the 1500 block of South State Road 15A in DeLand at around 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, after receiving reports of a crash. DPD stated that a preliminary investigation revealed that a red sedan was exiting the parking lot of a business located at 1590 South State Road 15A.
