    Charles Andrew Murray, 82, of Ortonville, Michigan passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025. Chuck was born in Cumberland, Maryland to Charles and Marian Murray in 1942. After spending his early years in Hagerstown and Chewsville, Maryland, Chuck moved to Niles, Michigan when he was in the 8th grade. He later moved to Utica his senior year where he attended Utica High School.

The board is considering a bond on the November ballot. “We conducted a series of focus panels, that was April 21-11, and then we conducted a community-wide survey,” said Kelsey Birkmeier of Banach, Banach, and Cassidy, who is working with the district on bond planning.

    By Shelby [email protected] — At 11:41 p.m., on May 25, a 26-year-old Oxford woman was fatally injured in a head-on collision on Baldwin near Seymour Lake roads. The woman was driving southbound in the northbound lane of Baldwin and struck a Hummer being operated by a 16-year-old Clarkston resident. The driver of the hummer was wearing a seatbelt, and was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. He has since been released.
