    The City of Parramatta is gearing up for a historic return of the ANZAC Day march on Friday, April 25 – a traditional part of the City’s history. The march will be the first in Parramatta’s CBD since 2019, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will take place from 4.15am featuring more than 100 soldiers in uniform and veterans, followed by members of the public starting near Parramatta Town Hall, before making its way to Marsden Street and finishing at Prince Alfred Square for the annual dawn service.

    City of Parramatta Council has confirmed it will reduce parking rates in the Justice Precinct public car park. Motorists will pay only $14 when parking at the Justice Precinct car park between four and 18 hours as part of a new trial running until June 30. It joins Parramatta Station Car Park with the same reduced fee. City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Martin Zaiter said the price reduction shows Council is doing their bit to help ease the cost of living.

    The Hindu community of NSW has marked an historic milestone with the acquisition of a new property in Parramatta, set to become a vibrant cultural hub with the support of $3.75 million from the Minns Labor Government. The Hindu Cultural and Education Centre in Parramatta will be a central touchpoint for the Hindu community, hosting cultural events, music and dance classes, yoga, and activities for seniors and young people.
