Two Australian Border Force officers have been stabbed in a dramatic incident at Clyde this morning. About 3.40am today, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were called to James Ruse Drive, and found a 54-year-old man had been stabbed in the neck and cheek and a 36-year-old man had been assaulted. The two injured men are being treated at Westmead Hospital; police have been told the injuries are not considered to be serious.

Police have charged a man with firearm offences following a routine vehicle stop in Harris Park. About 11.50am, officers attached to State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad were conducting proactive patrols in Granville when they observed an unregistered car. The vehicle was stopped on Parkes Street in Harris Park and the driver was identified as being subject to a Firearm Prohibition Order.
