Food and beverage (F&B) operators that completed the registration of interest process may now tender to join the growing retail and hospitality precinct at Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI). Sydney’s 24-hour international airport will have more than 20 sites comprising approximately 2,300m2 of leasable space for F&B operators to establish their businesses in the airport terminal. The tender will close in the second half of 2025.

As part of a five-year contract extension with First Bus, Glasgow Airport in Scotland has launched its first fully electric and zero-emission bus shuttle route between the city center and the airport. The service represents an investment of over £5m (US$6.6m) and consists of 11 new electric double-decker buses from First Bus.

Fresno Yosemite International Airport has opened an expanded security checkpoint and public art program. Passengers traveling through the airport will now experience improved security queueing within a 13,000ft2  facility. The expanded security checkpoint adds capacity and capability to operate five passenger screening lanes simultaneously. This expansion shifts passenger queueing from the lobby to within the security checkpoint footprint.

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and American Airlines have expanded the scope of the airport’s new Terminal F, increasing the investment to approximately US$4bn and extending the use and lease agreement to 2043. The partners will double the number of gates, add facilities to grow international operations, expand customer amenities, create a single building for passenger check-in, and more.

Airports of Thailand (AOT) and Thailand’s Immigration Bureau is introducing new measures for all non-Thai passport holders. Beginning May 1, 2025, all foreign nationals planning to enter Thailand will be required to register for the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before arrival in Thailand. The TDAC system is an initiative by the Immigration Bureau aimed at streamlining the immigration process by replacing the paper-based system.
