In June 2007, Home News Enterprises acquired the paper and merged two local weeklies, The Pendleton Times and Lapel Post, to enhance the quality and variety of news, design, and information available to readers.

    During our 50-plus years of marriage, Susie and I have traveled much of this country and Canada enjoying a wide variety of activities. At last count, we had visited 36 states and three Canadian provinces to fill our time together. Twenty years ago, I could drive 18 hours to cover many miles to reach our destination. She was someone who added a new dynamic beyond what the job title might imply. “She comes from Spring Mill State Park, brings a wealth of knowledge. She’s going to be really good for our team,” Falls Park Director Aaron Burris said about Sheree Belt, during the February 2024 Pendleton Town Council meeting.
