The Times-Post newspaper is a dedicated ally for the communities in South Madison County, including Pendleton, Lapel, Ingalls, and Markleville, with a new issue released every Wednesday. In June 2007, Home News Enterprises acquired the paper and merged two local weeklies, The Pendleton Times and Lapel Post, to enhance the quality and variety of news, design, and information available to readers.

LAPEL — “We always come for this bus to get milk and stuff,” Grant DeMasie of Lapel said on June 15, one of five dates for this year’s Lapel Farmers Market. DeMasie was talking about the big green Simply from Scratch vehicle, where operator Lauren Flanders was ringing up sales for the family-owned farm-to-table business based in Noblesville. Milk, eggs, baked goods and more are stocked inside the bus for purchase.
