Nintendo has confirmed that pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 will begin April 24. Nintendo also confirmed the previously announced Switch 2 price of $449 will remain the same ($499 for the Mario Kart World bundle). US pre-orders were initially scheduled to begin on April 9. However, the Trump Administration later enacted sweeping tariffs, along with an escalating trade war against China specifically, where many electronic components are manufactured.
Classic JRPG series returns with the Lunar Remastered Collection

GungHo Entertainment has released the Lunar Remastered Collection on Steam PC, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox ($49.99). The Lunar Remastered Collection includes Lunar: Silver Star Story, and its sequel, Lunar 2: Eternal Blue. The original RPGs released on the Sega CD in 1993 and 1995 in North America. The Remastered Collection specifically features updates to the Complete versions, enhanced remakes which released in ’96 and ’98 on Sega Saturn and PlayStation.

Disney Solitaire is a free-to-play mobile game with over 75 characters

SuperPlay, in collaboration with Disney Games, has launched Disney Solitaire. The free-to-play card game is available now on Android and iOS mobile devices (features in-app purchases). Disney Solitaire is based on the popular Tri Peaks version of classic solo card game, Solitaire. Using a single deck of cards, players attempt to clear the three pyramid stacks by matching cards in a sequence with their stock pile.
Eggcellent Adventure event now live in ARK: Survival Ascended

ARK: Survival Ascended is getting its first spring seasonal event with the return of Eggcellent Adventure. The seasonal event adds new cosmetics, special creatures, colorful dinosaurs, and eggs for painting and crafting. It’s live now through April 30. During the event, special Bunny Dodos and Buny Oviraptors will drop Bunny Eggs across the island. By collecting the eggs, players can craft unique cosmetic items, such as a Flower Wreath, Shepherd’s Crook, and Lamb Costume.

Long-running RuneScape developer Jagex have released a new survival crafting spinoff of the classic MMO with RuneScape: Dragonwilds. RuneScape Dragonwilds is out now via Steam Early Access ($29.99). Dragonwilds is set on a forgotten continent within the RuneScape world, where dragons are running amok. Up to four players must survive by gathering materials, building their village, delving into dungeons, and slaying monsters.

I recently got a chance to play Wildgate, the upcoming PvPvE Extraction Shooter by Moonshot Games and Dreamhaven, during the Community Preview Playtest. Wildgate is an absolute blast, combining the aesthetics of a Saturday Morning Cartoon, the shared spaceship-tactics of Star Trek, and the tight competitive gameplay of an extraction shooter. Wildgate keeps things simple. Five teams of four players, called Prospectors, are matched together.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8 adds 12 new subclasses, cross-play support, a dedicated photo mode, and a big update to the official modding toolkit. Cross-play and photo mode were highly requested from the Baldur’s Gate 3 community. Gameloft has revealed details about the next big update for Disney Dreamlight Valley, including new Alice in Wonderland Realm — plus the first-ever Star Wars content. The free content update, Wonderland Whimsy, will release on April 23. Like the Aladdin realm in the previous update, the new Alice in Wonderland Realm will feature a trip to the iconic animated Disney film. Players will chase the white rabbit, meet Alice and the Cheshire Cat, and avoid the Queen of Hearts’ guards.
Destiny devs reveal their next big original shooter, Marathon

Over the weekend, Bungie, the beloved studio behind Halo and Destiny, revealed their next sci-fi shooter, Marathon during a live streaming showcase. Marathon is a team-based extraction shooter, and it’s launching September 23 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. In Marathon, players choose a customizable synthetic loadout called a Runner. Teams of three are dropped on the world of Tau Ceti IV to scavenge a lost colony for supplies, loot, and important materials. Then, get out alive.
