Indie developer Racoon Logic have launched co-op sequel, Revenge of the Savage Planet, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Revenge of the Savage Planet is a sequel to 2021’s underrated Journey to the Savage Planet. The sequel switches from first-person to third person, and puts a larger emphasis on co-op, including adding split-screen local co-op. Nice!The Savage Planet series is similar to Metroid Prime.

Good news! After the doom and gloom two weeks ago that saw mass layoffs and acquisition at Polygon, and drama-turned-mass quitting at Giant Bomb, at least one of those ships as been righted. Fandom has sold gaming website and channel Giant Bomb to its two primary hosts, Jeff Bakalar and Jeff Grubb. Hosts Dan Ryckert, Jan Ochoa, and Mike Minotti are also listed as co-owners. Giant Bomb is now independently owned and operated by its own hosts and writers, and supported by users.

Summer is fast approaching, and it’s a good time to learn or refresh pool rules and aquatic safety. To help raise awareness and prevent tragedies, the Aquatic Safety Research Group have released Dr. Tom’s Lifeguard Vision. The educational app is available on the App Store and Google stores for iOS and Android mobile devices. Dr. Tom’s Lifeguard Vision is a free app that “simulates real drowning behaviors.” Many drownings aren’t loud and dramatic. They happen fast, and often without warning.
