    The Plano Symphony Orchestra (PSO) will conclude the 2024-2025 season with a grand finale celebration on April 26 with pianist Alessio Bax and performances from the Plano Civic Chorus. Bax is a first-prize winner at the Leeds and Hamamatsu International Piano Competitions who has appeared with more than 150 orchestras. The Plano Civic Chorus, led by newly appointed artistic director and conductor Randy Hooper, is known for its diverse repertoire of new and traditional music.

    Earlier this week, Collin College women’s basketball player Alisha Nunley was named to the National Junior College Athletics Association (NJCAA) Division I Women’s Basketball All-America First Team. Nunley, a guard, has scored 18 points per game with two 35-point games early in the season, landing her North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Year, All-Region V and All-Conference.

After a rotator cuff injury left washing hair hard for Shannon Myers Ambrozy, she discovered Blo Blow Dry Bar and was inspired to open a location. Though popular “blow dry bar” concept Blo Blow Dry Bar has locations all over the country, it’s first Plano franchise is set to open later this week.

    April 4, 2025<April 4, 2025 Plano students take home awards in DART art contest by Alyssa High Photo courtesy of DART. The Best in Show winner is freshman Jasper High School student Wing Hay Tam, who took home a cash prize and a temporary exhibit in the DMA. Every year, K-12 children from each of Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART)’s member cities are eligible to compete in an art contest inspired by a provided theme.
