Last week’s article wasn’t my best of the season, but we were still satisfied with the results. We actually have two of the same streamers from last week in this week’s piece, and it’s becoming evident that some of these guys need to be pried off waiver wires. One thing we never discuss is who to drop in these situations, but we need to clarify that. You should have one designated spot specifically for streamers because dropping a must-roster player for any of these guys is silly.

It was really frustrating to see Jose Soriano get blown up as my first streamer of the week, but everything improved after that. In fact, we got gems from Andrew Heaney and Max Meyer, with both players looking like must-roster players for the foreseeable future. TJ Friedl and Andrew Benintendi were also solid streamers from the hitting side, and it has me motivated to keep rolling here.

Depending on how your season’s going, it may be hard for you to believe that we’re already about a month in, because time is flying so fast as your teams are happily hovering at the top of the standings. Or, it may feel more like the all star break should have been here a week ago, due to the injury and disappointment-fueled slog you feel like you’re in the middle of.

Last week was my best article of the year. All of our streamers performed well, and we might’ve stumbled into a few must-roster players along the way. That’s our real goal when writing these articles because it’s key to landing some waiver wire gems throughout the season. Some of my best pickups every year are streamers that just stay on my roster after a solid week. It doesn’t always work like that, but we just hope that’s the natural progression along the way.

Okay, friends, we’re more than halfway through April already, and the stats are starting to pile up. Still a small sample size, certainly, but I think we’re all starting to get a better idea of how our teams are shaping up to fare over the course of a long season. Whether you’re off to a great start or a disappointing one, there’s no reason not to keep an eye on potential reinforcements that might be out there, particularly in deeper leagues, of course.
