Real Change
Real Change Newspaper is the top street newspaper in North America, offering job opportunities to around 800 individuals experiencing homelessness and those with low incomes each year. This weekly community newspaper, which champions progressive values, received sixteen first-place awards for outstanding journalism in 2014 from both the Washington Press Association and the Society of Professional Journalists. Real Change addresses important topics related to economic, social, and racial justice. To stay connected with the needs of our vendors, we have a weekly editorial committee made up of homeless and formerly homeless individuals who gather to discuss our content.

June in Seattle brings sun, fun and daring fashions. While many choose to play it safe with an off-the-rack mesh top or hand-cut jean shorts, Pride serves as the perfect runway for some of Seattle’s most intrepid fashionistas. Real Change interviewed a few of them at the June 7 Pride in the Park festival about their couture creations, makeup tips, inspirations and how they got their stage names.
