A 72-year-old man carrying a gun that was later determined to be a pellet pistol appeared at Thrift2Fight, the Tivoli second-hand clothing store, in a state of crisis Saturday afternoon and proceeded to utter antisemitic remarks before police took him for a mental health evaluation. The owners of the store at 48 Broadway described a harrowing scene.

The Town of Red Hook has introduced new draft zoning ordinances that, if adopted, will place new regulations on cannabis retailing, housing density, short-term rentals, and more. The draft law further incorporates new provisions for subdivision in the Agricultural Business District (ABD) and would allow officials to lift the moratorium on applications to subdivide in that zone.  The proposed ordinances amend various zoning laws.
