The downtown area has experienced significant economic growth, highlighted by a new transit center and numerous upscale condominiums. Boeing, known for manufacturing the 737, is still the city's largest employer. Additionally, Renton has become a hub for popular retailers like IKEA. The community features a charming blend of historic and contemporary homes near the southern edge of Lake Washington, offering great potential for expansion as neighboring areas explore annexation options.
