    While perhaps no surprise, the Trans-Canada Highway continues to be the most dangerous roadway for motor vehicle collisions in Revelstoke, ICBC's latest data from 2024 shows. Of exactly 100 crashes recorded in the city by the provincial auto insurer last year, 33 happened along Highway 1. Victoria Road, with a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour, came second with 24 collisions. Highway 23 and Big Eddy Road both recorded 14, while Airport Way experienced 12.

    All individuals involved in a high-speed collision just outside Revelstoke were reportedly "OK" after a van pulled out in front of a semi-trailer driver who said they did what they could to brake.
