    It is that time of the year again. Thick Queens Production is gearing up to set the ramp on fire at Graceland Hotel, Casino and Country Club on October 7. Rehearsals are in progress for this year’s plus size summer fashion show, designers are finishing off the final touches and artists are preparing to move the audience. Amongst the fashion houses that will be present, will be LeraEra, Keatz and Vicsison to name a few. In total 10 fashion houses will come together to showcase their latest designs.

    Diesel is missing and his owner is desperate to find him. Diesel has disappeared. His owner, Anru du Buisson, is offering a reward for his best friend’s safe return. He suspects that Diesel might have been piked up on he old Witbank road just outside Delmas, as the dog is friendly and keen to get into a vehicle. Diesel also reacts to the name Beeste. Anyone with information on the dog’s whereabouts, are asked to contact Du Buisson at 0842991691.

    The owner of a farm in the Bronkhorstspruit area faces charges of animal cruelty after the animal welfare organisation Wetnose rescued 24 starving horses from his property. The staff at Wetnose received a tip-off about the poor condition of the animals and immediately investigated. “What we found made our blood boil,” said Debbie Buys, the MD of the organisation. The team found an emaciated, weak, and pregnant horse on their initial visit to the farm. No vet had seen the animal either.

    Cyclists are invited to a social night ride on Thursday, September 21. The cyclists will set off at 18:00 from Redemptive Coffee. Anyone is welcome to join. You can just arrive and ride, but helmets and lights are essential and the rules of the road must be followed at all times. The more cyclists, more groups can be formed to cater for beginners up to serious riders. Primary School cyclists must be accompanied by a parent or appointed caretaker.
