Robert Gordon University
Robert Gordon University, often referred to as RGU (Scottish Gaelic: Oilthigh Raibeart Ghòrdain), is a public university located in Aberdeen, Scotland. Established as a university in 1992, its roots trace back to an educational institution founded in the 18th century by Robert Gordon, a successful merchant from Aberdeen. Over the years, it evolved through various organizations that offered adult and technical education during the 19th and early 20th centuries. RGU is one of the two universities in Aberdeen, the other being the University of Aberdeen. The university operates from a single campus situated in Garthdee, in the southwestern part of the city.
