Scala Radio is a digital radio station in the UK that focuses on classical music. It has been owned and run by Bauer Radio since it began broadcasting in March 2019. The station is available 24/7 across the nation on DAB via the Sound Digital multiplex and can also be accessed online through various websites and apps, including its own platform. Notably, Scala Radio was the first national classical music station to be introduced on terrestrial radio in the UK since Classic FM made its debut in 1992. The station's music selection consists of 70% well-known classical pieces and 30% new and unexpected compositions. Additionally, Scala Radio aims to provide a greater amount of spoken content, or "storytelling," compared to Classic FM and BBC Radio 3.
