Since fall is upon us, I thought this would be the perfect time to share my Fall Harvest Salad with Maple Sesame Crunch recipe from Pass the Plate with you. Succulent chicken, savory paprika sauce, and chewy egg dumplings, all in one dish: this is chicken paprikash, a rich and comforting Hungarian recipe I grew up with. I have fond memories of making and eating this meal with my family, my parents would always prepare a platter of crisp, green onions for the table and set it next to the big pot of paprikash. There are so many variations to this recipe, some people serve it with egg dumplings, mamaliga, egg noodles, potatoes or bread.

Today I’m sharing with you a recipe from my friend’s, Caroline Chambers’s new cookbook, What to Cook When You Don’t Feel Like Cooking, which is out today!!! The Cannellini Caprese with Burrata is a recipe from her 15-ish minutes chapter, packed with 15-ish-minute dinner ideas, which we could all use more of. I picked this recipe, since I think it encompasses Caro’s cooking style so well: it’s witty, easy, never-fussy and flavor-forward.

5 ingredients, 25 minutes and dinner is ready! Cacio e pepe (cheese and pepper pasta) is a dish I find myself gravitating towards on busy weeknights: it has 3 ingredients, it’s quick and always hits the spot. Whenever I want to make it a bit more filling, I’ll toss in canned tuna right at the end, sometimes a whole can per serving, sometimes just half of a can. The tuna is pretty mild, so it’ll simply blend in the cheese and pepper sauce.
