When West Elm approached me about working together on a feature for their new collaboration with Pierce & Ward, it was an instant yes. West Elm has been a long-time partner and is one of my favorite spots for all things home. They also have a knack for choosing elevated female-founded brands to collaborate with (remember last year’s collaboration with Rhode?). Sometimes, I feel a little bit guilty (embarrassed, even?) about how many smocked dresses I have, and how often I reach for them. Like, can’t I make a bit more effort? A smocked dress is, indeed, a little bit lazy. It is my equivalent to sweatpants. It is comfortable and breezy, and in many cases (not the sheer Dôen dressabove, lol), I can skip a bra, which is always a bonus in my book. The weather is getting warm, and work + life have both been moving faster than usual.

I’ve been a magpie ever since my youngest years. My happiest childhood memories involve playing in my grandmother’s jewelry box, making my own (often questionable) jewelry, and (always) piling on as many pieces as possible. Many of you know that my last 9-5 gig was at BaubleBar. I worked there from 2011-2015 and was their fourth hire! I ran their social media and influencer marketing. Start-up life can be grueling, but I loved the product and learned so much about jewelry.
