Shore Local News

Bob embarked on his journey in journalism at the age of 21 in South Jersey. As a local surfer from Ocean City, he was excited to establish his career, home, and family in the region he cherished. He devoted 15 years to the Press of Atlantic City, followed by another 9 years with the Current, gaining invaluable experience along the way. Over the years, our family has grown to include three wonderful children, and we’ve made our home in Egg Harbor Township. However, as the economy shifted both nationally and locally, the media landscape transformed as well. Many of Atlantic County's media outlets, including our daily newspaper and two prominent weekly publications, were acquired by large corporate entities. In the midst of this upheaval, Shore Local was created. We take pride in being a locally-owned, grassroots publication that highlights the people, places, and events in Atlantic County, Ocean City, and Upper Township. Bob and I envisioned a business that supports and showcases local enterprises, and that’s exactly what we have achieved! When you choose to support Shore Local, you're investing in our community. We are a family-run business with deep connections to the areas we cover, and we are excited to share our passion for our coastal towns with all of you. Thank you for joining us in our mission, and enjoy your reading!
