The news of Sabu’s sudden death has shocked the entire wrestling world. Here are some of the thoughts and tributes. The WWE released this statement:WWE is saddened to learn that Terry Brunk, known to wrestling fans as Sabu, has passed away. The nephew of WWE Hall of Famer, The Sheik, Sabu became a national star as part of ECW, where he was a pioneer of hardcore wrestling, leaping from chairs and driving his opponents through tables and even barbed wire.

The “homicidal, genocidal, suicidal, death-defying” Sabu is no more. Terrance Michael “Terry” Brunk known to wrestling fans as Sabu has passed away. He was 60-years-old. The cause of death is not known at this time. Sabu wrestled his final match at Joey Janela’s Spring Break on April 19th of this year. An ECW original who kept the extreme mindset alive long after the promotion had closed it doors was the nephew of the legendary Ed “The Sheik” Farhat.

It wasn’t a good night for R-Truth at Backlash. Holding a ‘Let’s Go Cena!’ sign and chanting along backstage, R-Truth was approached by Jimmy Uso who was wondering what Truth was up to. “What are you doing?” asked Jimmy. R-Truth was happy Cena was at Backlash. “Cena sucks though,” replied Jimmy. R-Truth told Jimmy that his “childhood hero” will “never give up” but Jimmy has obviously thrown in the towel. Jimmy walked off.
