The best English translation for the German phrase is “if you’re going to do it, do it right” or “if you’re going to do something, go all out.”Czemerynski, known as Mr. C to his students, has gone all out in a health career that started with a library book from nearly a half-century ago.

S-GI Girls BasketballThe Springville girls basketball team announced its season winners recently with Dani Oakley receiving the team’s MVP, and Aubrey Roy receiving the team’s Most Improved Player. S-GI SoftballThe Springville-Griffith softball team started its season at 2-0 before finishing the week at 2-1 after three home games. The Griffs edged Franklinville 25-24 on March 29 and then beat Pioneer 19-7 on March 31, before falling 7-2 to Depew on April 4. The season opener was a see-sawed battle against Franklinville started with Springville ahead 11-10 after four innings.

SPRINGVILLE - The Village of Springville Board of Trustees, at its March 17 and April 7 meetings, hosted a budget hearing for the 2025-26 budget and hosted its reorganizational meeting. During the March 17 meeting, Mayor Timothy Michaels gave a presentation on the 2025-26 budget. The total appropriations for the 2025-26 budget are $4,196,044, an increase of $167,564 from last year. The Springville boys swimming team handed out its postseason awards recently with Co-Most valuable awards going to Asa Cerasani and Bryce Cook. Evan Randolph took the most improved swimmer award at the team’s postseason gathering. “Asa and Bryce won MVP as they had 211.75 and 209.75 points scored for the team respectively,” S-GI boys swimming head coach Ryan Dygert said.
