    S-GI SoftballThe Springville-Griffith softball team started its season at 2-0 before finishing the week at 2-1 after three home games. The Griffs edged Franklinville 25-24 on March 29 and then beat Pioneer 19-7 on March 31, before falling 7-2 to Depew on April 4. The season opener was a see-sawed battle against Franklinville started with Springville ahead 11-10 after four innings.

    The Springville boys swimming team handed out its postseason awards recently with Co-Most valuable awards going to Asa Cerasani and Bryce Cook. Evan Randolph took the most improved swimmer award at the team’s postseason gathering. “Asa and Bryce won MVP as they had 211.75 and 209.75 points scored for the team respectively,” S-GI boys swimming head coach Ryan Dygert said.
