    Classic vehicles roll through Antelope County Approximately 460 classic automobiles - ranging from souped-up trucks to decked out Impalas - made their way through Neligh on Sunday morning. The Nebraska Rod & Custom Association's 32nd Tour Nebraska started in Plymouth on Saturday, for the first leg on the tour. Sunday's adventure began in York, at the Holthus Convention Center, looping through Boone, Antelope, Cedar and Wayne counties, before ending in Howells.

    Sanders Ewing American Legion Post #214 Commander, Dennis Ziems presented Don Ruroede with a certificate for 70 years of membership in the Legion. The presentation was made during the Memorial Day program at St. Dominic's Hall. Ruroede is a 1952 graduate of Ewing Public School. Following Graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for two years during the Korean War and was stationed at Kimpo Air Base in South Korea. While at Kimpo, a North Korean pilot defected with a Russian Mig 15 jet.

    Have I got a story for you. Since I believe in transparency, I want you to take a look of the photo of Ryan Rifer sliding into home plate on Page 3. Go on, I’ll wait. It’s a good photo, and it would be even better if I could remove Coach Kevin from the first-base line, so the slide and defender’s stretch were in full view. I decided I would try a photo-editing tool to remove the coach and make note of it as an editor’s note in the cutline.
