Youth wrestling teams from Prior Lake representing the Curtis LeMair Legacy Foundation — a nonprofit organization committed to raising awareness about preventable death caused by sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) — recently participated in the Midwest Duals Tournament in Aberdeen, South Dakota, on April 13. The wrestling tournament, which was hosted by the Aberdeen Youth Wrestling Club and held at the Barnett Center at Northern State University, is an annual tournament for K-8 wrestlers.

The Prior Lake-Savage Area School Board recently reviewed its mid-year assessment of student math proficiency at the middle school level at its latest study session on Monday, April 22. Jennie Zumbusch, director of assessment and improvement, presented a previous mid-year data report at the Feb. 12 school board meeting. The report draws insights from FastBridge Learning assessments which are administered three times per year to identify students requiring additional support in math and/or reading.

The Carver County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the Connect Up Carver Expansion agreements at their April 16 meeting. An informational meeting was held on Wednesday April 10, on the upcoming Highway 41/10 project in Chaska. City councilors, project managers, city planners and engineers from SRF consulting group gathered in the Chaska community center to discuss and explain the project. Carver County, in cooperation with MNDOT and the City of Chaska, “is developing improvements along Highway 10/Engler Boulevard from Bavaria Road to Park Ridge Drive in Chaska,” according to a handout at the event.
