Taiwan News

Taiwan News

Taiwan News was first launched in 1949 under the name "China News." It was established by James Wei and holds the distinction of being the first English-language newspaper in Taiwan. The publication aims to cover Taiwanese society and global trends, fostering communication between different cultures and nations. In 1997, Luis Ko, the CEO of I-Mei Foods Co., Ltd, acquired the newspaper and continues to serve as its publisher. The name was changed to "Taiwan News" as the newspaper shifted its emphasis towards local stories. To enhance its coverage and adapt to modern needs, Taiwan News transitioned to a fully digital format in 2015. This online change allows the publication to deliver up-to-date breaking news to readers around the clock.
