Tunde Adebimpe for Tape Op #155, and he has just released Thee Black Boltz, a beautifully conceived album full of interesting sonics and great songs. Many will recognize Tunde as the lead singer of TV On The Radio, the Brooklyn-based band he co-founded with producer and multi-instrumentalist Dave Sidek. This album is diverse, offers many sonic vibes, and is unafraid to dip its toe into a variety of genres.

Tape Op issue #93. His new release, Songs of the Earth, is a return to a sound and vibe reminiscent of 2010's Mount Wittenberg Orca, a collaboration with Björk. Songs of the Earth is a masterful work of orchestral arrangements; adventrous vocals performed by Dirty Projectors bandmates Maia Friedman, Felicia Douglass, and Olga Bell; and the Berlin-based chamber orchestra s t a r g a z e, conducted by André de Ridder.
