After nearly three decades on the touchline and more than 50 years devoted to the beautiful game, veteran football coach Joe Paggetti has officially stepped down from his role at Weirside Rangers AFC. Now 87, Joe has been the driving force behind the club's veterans' side since 1996. Speaking to Teddington Nub News, Joe explained: "I just think I am about to turn 88 in a few weeks' time and it's about time somebody else took over. "I just decided that it was always going to happen so why not now?

Richmond Council has rejected plans to take over a former recruitment office, Allied Source Recruitment Ltd, in Unit 4 of the Princes Works on Princes Road in Teddington. The application, which was submitted in February of this year, proposed for a "a change of use of the building to use classes B2, B8 and E (applied flexibly)", meaning it could be used for industrial or retail purposes or for the sale of food and drink. The site has been vacant since January 2025.

Half of Kew Retail Park, which spans nearly 10 acres in Richmond, was sold to the Berkeley Group in 2021, with M&S continuing to own the other half. Richmond Met officers have arrested a man yesterday (Tuesday, 6 May) on suspicion of handling stolen goods. The arrest took place at 3:50am on Sandycombe Lane in Richmond, where the man was detained. Officers were able to recover various tools (credit: @MPSRichmond/X). In a post on X, Richmond Met Police said: "Officers are looking to return the below tools to the owners. "If you believe these items to be yours, please provide serial numbers by calling 101 and quoting ref CAD 800/06MAY25."
Teddington Café plans to take over former café in Strawberry Hill

The owner of Teddington's Café Benedict, Ben Phillips is planning to take over the former Antipodea café in Radnor Gardens in Strawberry Hill. Antipodea, which was owned by an Australian chain, first opened in the summer of 2021 and closed down in the spring of 2023 following repeated break-ins, vandalism and antisocial behaviour which left staff in fear.
