A few dozen protestors lined the sidewalk across from Custer County District High School on Monday, demanding that junior Montana senator Tim Sheehy address his constituents directly about ongoing actions of the federal government. Sheehy, the Republican politician who unseated long-time Democratic Senator Jon Tester in last November's election, was in Miles City for a presentation to students at CCDHS about military colleges and career paths in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Park County beekeeper Andrew Bauer, a ranch worker and owner of Hazel’s Honey LLC, a family-owned Paradise Valley apiary, is willing his small business back to life after the worst winter bee losses he can remember. Little to no bees were left when Bauer checked on his hives in late March. The beekeeper salvaged one colony of survivors from 60 others with 80,000 bees. He hopes the lone surviving colony will be more resistant to the unknown factors leading to the other bees demise.
