The school board started their meeting off by Martin Balben stepping down as board chair due to the nature of the position requiring nearly a part-time position in addition to his full-time occupation. Jennie Beach nominated Ray Hinchcliff, who stated he would assume the role again having served as board chair previously. Natalie Kashi seconded, and Hinchliff took his place as chair of the meeting.

The Democratic Party in Teton Valley has announced that Commissioner Mike Whitfield is considering stepping down from his commissioner seat due to ongoing health concerns. They are currently taking resumes and applications from registered Democrats from District 2 to fill the position if Whitfield gives notice that he will no longer serve as commissioner.

With whisperings of potential growth in Tetonia, the city contracted with Forsgren Engineering to conduct a drinking water survey to better understand the needed resources to continue serving the future properties and developments. During their regular meeting last Tuesday, they received the report. According to the 2020 census, Tetonia had 308 people and saw around a 1% growth rate year over year.

A couple dozen 8th grade students from Teton Middle School spent their spring break on the third annual history tour on the East Coast. American History teacher Angela Hoopes escorted the group through Washington D.C. with stops at famous monuments, memorials, and museums. Teton Middle School has encouraged their teachers to think outside the box, and a trip like this was always in the works as they felt it was important for the students to have this opportunity.
