The Chronicle 1909
The Chronicle holds the distinction of being the oldest newspaper that is locally owned in the southern Willamette Valley. This weekly tabloid, published by Nash Publishing Group, emphasizes local news coverage, serving areas from Cottage Grove to Creswell to Springfield and beyond. The company is forward-thinking in its approach to engaging readers and online audiences with both practical and distinctive content. In addition to The Chronicle, Nash Publishing Group manages chronicle1909.com, Emerald Valley Magazine, and the yearly Emerald Valley Almanac. Last weekend, millions of citizens nationwide came together for “No Kings Day” to oppose federal policies and actions, protest the treatment of immigrants, and challenge the recent deployment of American troops to Los Angeles.
