We hold the belief that journalism serves the public good and is essential for a thriving democracy, as it keeps those in power accountable, highlights public risks, and fosters a society grounded in reliable information. Operating under the Savannah-based 501(c)3 nonprofit Grey Matters Project, our newsroom maintains complete independence. We are funded by individual donations, memberships, significant philanthropic contributions, corporate sponsorships, and special events.
