The Burroughs track and field program hosted Serrano on Senior Day for its final home meet of the season. The Burros went into the final Mojave River League dual meet knowing a win for the girls would cap an undefeated season and declare them back-to-back outright MRL champions, and a loss would still see them be back-to-back champs as co-champions. The boys were looking to end the season on a strong note before going into the Mojave River League Finals.

The Ridgecrest Horseshoes Pitching Club, a member of the Southern California Horseshoe Pitchers Association, hosted the Pitcher’s Memorial Open at the horseshoe pits in Leroy Jackson County Park. The Burros boys’ and girls’ teams went into the meet with different goals, but both teams earned a win over the Sun Devils. The boys won 98-29, and the girls won 87-32, with pole vault not being contested due to Apple Valley not having any pole-vaulters. With the win the girls are in position to win back-to-back Mojave River League champions, while the boys are having another successful season.
