    WURTLAND A volunteer group of students, parents and staff turned up on Friday to move classrooms from Wurtland Elementary School to the neighboring middle school, completing the first step of consolidating students into the Greenup County School of Innovation.     CANNONSBURG Two local families have reached out to social media seeking information after their campers came up missing in Boyd County and evidence suggests they were both struck by the same Winneba-Go-Getter. Boyd County Sheriff Jamie Rheis said the first family reported their 2021 Transcend Xplor was stolen from its parked spot off U.S. 60 — between Boyd County Middle School and the former car lot — on June 1.

    CATLETTSBURG In line with Mayor Faith Day’s recent expectation, the Catlettsburg City Council voted to change the name of Boyd County Community and Senior Center during Tuesday evening’s meeting.     ASHLAND The Ashland branch of the Boyd County Library was forced to evacuate on Monday evening after police say a man ran inside the facility wielding a knife to his own throat in an attempt to evade arrest. Gregory G. Hannah, 41, homeless, was arrested at the library around 7 p.m. on charges of second-degree wanton endangerment, disorderly conduct, second-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest and second-degree terroristic threatening.
