October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and is recognized annually. Katelyn Abeln, a graduate of South Paulding High School, is heading to Paris this summer to compete in her very first Olympics. Abeln will get a shot at helping her team to victory this summer. But then, at 23, she has a lot of experience with shot-taking and will compete in the Women’s 10m Air Pistol on July 27 and the Women’s 25m Sport Pistol on August 2.

Paulding Commissioner Stover resigns to run in May Primary Election for Commission Chairman Post 4 Commissioner Brian Stover has resigned from his position on the board. Stover resigned from his post in order to run for Commission Chairman. Paulding Commission Chairman Dave Carmichael will relinquish his role this year after having served two terms.

Pickleball growing, serving Paulding County’s Special Needs population USA Pickleball Ambassador Paulding County, Daneen England says the legion of local Pickleballers is growing and the sport is also serving a Special Needs population in Paulding and neighboring counties. Last week Ms. England did a presentation prior to the Chamber Luncheon at Greystone’s Headquarters in Hiram.
